While we actively seek out opportunities for adult performers we have no control over which productions are looking for which kind of talent at any given time.

Imagine being in a situation where the best the industry has to offer are on standby to produce an amazing scene but 75% of them have to operate from another room. That is the reality of the closed set.

Expect to wait around a lot! Big productions are BIG, there are lots of cameras to check, lots of previous scenes to over run and lots of people to funnel through hair and make up - especially if you are taking part in a large group party scene.

Before going any further with your application, reflect seriously on whether or not you currently have the right experience to know for certain that you will thrive in a busy work environment. With each casting before you consent to be put forwards ask yourself if you genuinely have the right experience. Not doing so risks your metal well being and if you do a bad job, the reputation of the adult industry as a whole.

Most productions cover travel for adult performers who fall into the category of speciality performers. This will be clearly confirmed at the booking stage. If travel is being covered performers need to keep clear records of their travel costs.

Following a surge of inclusion of adult performers in mainstream roles there is currently a worrying trend where mainstream extras are being asked if they feel comfortable working to nude levels. This is done for a lower fee than the equivalent adult industry performers would merit. While cost saving this comes with an increased element of risk.

Interested performers have casting cards created which are shared with the casting director - they then make their selections
